For 2017-2018, the FAFSA is available October 1, 2016 through June 30, 2018.
Financial aid consists of federal, state and institutional funds such as grants, loans, work-study and scholarships. The FAFSA application requires a federal school code. Financial aid is typically awarded for both the fall and spring semesters.
To apply for these funds, students must complete the online Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the applicable aid year. The FAFSA is available for each aid year starting October 1.
The priority deadline to submit your FAFSA application to UTSA for fall applicants is March 15.
When estimating your tax return information, you should indicate that you will file your taxes.Navigate to the “Finances” section and indicate that you have already completed your taxes.If your tax return information is available and if you are eligible to do so, you should use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool to transfer your tax return information into your application.We advise that you submit your FAFSA before the February 15 priority date.Once married, you can change your marital status on the FAFSA and retain your priority status.
